Our take

The ViewSonic VX3218-PC-MHD is a solid 32-inch curved monitor that hits a sweet spot for budget gaming. The 165Hz refresh rate is noticeably smoother than standard 60Hz, and the VA panel's 4000:1 contrast ratio provides deep blacks for a curved display. Setup was easy, and the built-in speakers are passable for casual use. My main complaint is the 1080p resolution on a 32-inch screen—pixels are visible, especially up close. It's fine for gaming from a distance, but not for detailed work. For the price, you get high refresh and good contrast, but sacrifice sharpness.
